[Probably a stupid thing to start with, since these devices probably tell him who is sending what messages here, but--] I've given some thought in regards to what you told us yesterday about why we're here, and I'm still not sure if I can believe any of what you said in regards to our worlds supposedly being destroyed, since I still don't recall this happening and there hasn't been any concrete proof that it's really gone now.

However, if it turns out that what you say is indeed the truth, then... I want to say thank you. I'm not sure why you would save me in favor of someone else from my home, or if it was even by choice and it just happened to be a coincidence, but even so... I don't want to seem ungrateful just because my memory of things is hazy right now. I want to believe that this is the right thing to do here, that I should be thanking you for this, instead of having to apologize later if my memory comes back and we realize that you were trying to do something good here.
