Since he's awake before the alarms on Sunday, Black spends a few hours compiling a concise but informative series of texts regarding their first three meetings. ...given that none of them are happy to be here, signs of rebellion are a little hard to parse in the whole mess. It's easier for him to give basic context before they get into the little details.

The last one comes with the fun detail of "miss boundless and bombastic are dating, apparently."

she really reminds me of the women in my family. they never take no for an answer unless you start crying.

she used to be. being put in the hospital took the wind out of her sails, but she still has a sharp tongue and mind. if she were out and about, there's no doubt that she'd be just like miss boundless.

She sounds like an interesting person.

Why is she in the hospital?

she has heart issues due to an event that happened three years ago. she's gotten better, admittedly; her heart doesn't seize up as much as it used to, and she's otherwise a perfectly healthy young woman, but i still feel like that's all the more reason to keep her in there.
